Meet the Teacher: Tuesday, August 30th!

Tuesday, August 30th is our Meet the Teacher event for the upcoming school year!  We are so excited to meet all of our families and give you the opportunity to explore our classrooms and discover new friends.  You should have received an email or phone call from your child's teacher introducing herself and inviting you to her classroom Meet the Teacher.  If you have not received contact, please email or stop by the front desk in the morning after 9:00 a.m.

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 31st!   We cannot wait to kick off this school year full of discovery, learning, exploration and play with your children.  If you need to sign up for Early Care for the first day, please stop by the front desk at Meet the Teacher.

FORMS!  It is highly encouraged to turn in all of your forms during Meet the Teacher on Tuesday so that we can check them and ensure that your child will have a smooth first day of school.  Please be reminded that due to licensing, we absolutely may NOT accept any child that we do not have a new 2016-2017 Immunization Form and Statement of Health dually signed by their physician.

Help us celebrate the true STARS of the CDC!
Join the administration in celebrating our teachers during
Teacher Appreciation Week

The CDC Administration invites you to join us in celebrating our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week May 3-6.   There will be carts set up in the front office and at carpool for you to bring in items during the week that we will place in each of our kitchens for our dedicated teachers.  Examples of some suggested items include: 

  • Sharpie markers in different colors
  • Colored pens
  • Highlighters
  • Sticky notes
  • Reward stickers
  • Hand lotion / sanitizer
  • Drinks (individual bottles of coke, diet coke, flavored waters, etc..)
  • Individual snacks (granola bars, trail mix, energy bars…)
  • Fruit

Other suggestions for ways to appreciate our teachers include writing a personal note to them from you or your child, bringing them a personal favorite from their Teacher Favorites page or just simply telling them "thank you" and praying for them.

Miss PattyCake is Coming!

Miss PattyCake in Concert
Thursday, April 7th at 6:00 p.m.
Heights Worship Center

Join us for the Miss PattyCake concert at The Heights on Thursday, April 7th at 6:00 p.m.  Every age is invited to come to the Worship Center and see this exciting event.  Bring your cameras, bring the whole family and don't miss out on the fun!   Meet and Greet with Miss PattyCake will follow the concert.

Older Preschool Children to Participate - Arrive at 5:30 p.m. in Worship Center
The Preschool Praisers Choir along with the CDC Older Preschoolers will have the opportunity to sing on stage with Miss PattyCake.   This is for children in the following classes: Litmanen, Tucker, Wolfe, Jones, Parker, Whitaker, Lawrence, Ramsey, Meyer, Moore, Brandenburg, Murthy and Deichert.  Children participating will need to wear their free t-shirt they were given and arrive at 5:30 p.m.

Summer Camp Availability Update

We have once again reviewed our summer registration for  a final time, and following is the current availability in all age groups:

Age Group 1 (Born March 2014 or after): ALL WEEKS FULL

Age Group 2 (Born 9/2013-2/2014): More than 5 spots Weeks 1-4

Age Group 3 (Born 9/2012-8/2013): Less than 5 spots Weeks 1-3;
More than 5 spots Week 4

Age Group 4 (Born 9/2011-8/2012): More than 5 spots Weeks 1, 3, 4;
Less than 5 spots Week 2

Age Group 5 (Born prior to 8/2011**): More than 5 spots Weeks 1-4

**Please note that we will only accept children through completed pre-K. If they have already attended Kindergarten, we cannot accept them in our summer camps.

If you wish to enroll your child in one of our summer camps, please visit the Summer Camps 2016 page of this website by CLICKING HERE or on the tab at the top of this page.  You will need to complete an enrollment form for each child you wish to enroll and bring it in to our offices to confirm availability and pay the non-refundable fees of $125 per week in full.

Yee-Haw, Y'all! Texas Week is Coming!

Yipeeeeee!  Our favorite week here at the CDC, Texas Week, is coming SOON!  This is a week where we explore all things about the great state in which we live.  All ages will do different activities throughout the week celebrating our "cowboy" culture.  

Watch for info from your child's teacher for any special dress-up days, special snack, etc. that pertains to their class.  It is not necessary to do so, but if you wish to dress in your cowboy or cowgirl finest during this week, go right ahead!  You will see several decorations and surely some amazing artwork out in our hallways throughout the week.

So, get ready ... March 1-4 is a spectacular week at the CDC!

Registration for 2016-2017 School Year

Registration for our 2016-2017 school year is coming soon!  The registration schedule will be as follows:

February 9-12:  Currently Enrolled Families will register during this week.  Please watch your Inbox for an email with information on our registration process this year.

February 16:  Registration Opens to Members of The Heights Baptist Church at 9:00 a.m.

February 23:  Registration Opens to the Community at 9:00 a.m.

Information regarding our upcoming registration will be posted soon to our Enrollment Procedures page, as well as tuition information will be posted to our 2016-17 Tuitioin Information page.

Older Preschool Christmas Program

Mark your calendars!  Our Older Preschool Christmas Program is coming on Thursday, December 10th at 1:00 p.m. in The Heights Worship Center.  Doors will open at 12:45 p.m.  Classes will have Happy Birthday Jesus parties in their classroom following the program.

Bring your cameras and the whole family, this is something you won't want to miss!

REMINDER:  Thanksgiving Break starts on Friday, November 20th.  The Heights CDC and its offices will be closed November 20th through November 27th.  Classes will resume on Tuesday, December 1st.   We wish all of our families a blessed Thanksgiving.   The CDC staff has so much to be thankful for with all or our wonderful families!
